This classic jewelry chest is modeled after an 18th century jewelry box in the collection of the Winterthur Museum in Delaware. It features a hand-dovetailed case, a panel in the lid veneered in birdseye maple, and three storage levels. It is a substantial piece, measuring 15” across, 11-1/2” deep and 7” tall. The finish is shellac applied using the French polish technique and rubbed out with a thin layer of dark wax. The interior is felt-lined. This is an heirloom piece that will be passed on for generations.
